It's always a pleasure to return to the solitude and dark skies of the AAS site at Bad Wolf Ranch north of Lampassas. Every visit I take a sunrise image before breaking down my setup.

I enjoy just taking in the skies by eye or with wide angle binocuarls from a comfortable chair, while my camera does the work. On nights like last night, it's too cold to spend the night so I retreat to my car. I can nap and keep an eye on progress via my iPad and ASIAIR astrophotography controller
