Mars at 24.2 arc sec

The Earth is slowly pulling away from Mars. Nearer Earth orbits the sun in 365 days, much faster than Mars' 687 days. Dust still obscures much of the surface. Seeing was fair-- and Mars is just a tad smaller than 2 days ago at 24.2 arc sec. This image was shot with 8 bit data which increased the frame rate to 57 frames/sec from Austin, Texas on 2018-07-04 06:14 UT.

Questar f/15 89/1350 mm with 2X Dakin Barlow and ZWO ASI224MC camera. The best 10% of 13,728 frames captured with FireCapture and stacked in Autostakkert 3 with 3x drizzle. Deconvolved in Lynkeos with final exposure and crop in Photoshop.
