Beauty in the dark, the Iris Nebula

The Iris Nebula, NGC 7023 or Caldwel 4, taken 2022-06-01 and 2022-06-02 from just NW of Flagstaff, Arizona. I've worked to improve my processing of data like this including drizzle stacking, AI tools for deconvolution and noise reduction, and improved light curve stretching. Compare this image to my results a year ago.

Iris Nebula, beauty in the dark

A total exposure of 225 minutes taken as 45 five minute exposure. Photographed with a with a William Optics RedCat 250/51mm telescope, Baader UV/IR cut filter, ZWO ASI 533 MC camera, SkyWatcher AZ-EQ5 mount, and ASI electronic auto focus and guide camera. All were controlled with a ZWO ASIAir Plus Controller.

Proessed in PixInsight with *XTerminator and GHS plugins with final exposure and crop in Photoshop.
