Flame & Horsehead Nebulas, small telescope, stock camera

This image of the Flame and Horsehead nebulas in Orion was made:

  • Under the Austin light pollution with Bortle 6+ skies
  • With a 2" aperture telescope, the WO RedCat 51mm
  • With a stock Sony a7 iii camea without any IR sensitivity modification
  • 66 minutes of total expousre

William Optics RedCat 250/51 mm f/4.9 with a full frame Sony a7 iii camera and an Astromania Moon & Skyglow filter exposing 132 30 second frames at ISO 3200. Stacked in Nebulosity with final crop and exposure stretching in photoshop.
