PacMan & a ghost star

The PacMan Nebula, NGC 271, and nearby bright star Achird, Eta Cassiopeiae. NGC 281 is a bright emission nebula about 9500 light years away, associated with open cluster IC 159O. Achird is very similar to the sun in size and temperature, about 19 LY away and magnitude 3.5. It has a small "ghost" binary companion, mag. 7.5 at about 8 o'clock on the far saide of Achird from the PacMan. It was a windly night in my Austin, Texas, garden and I lost almost a third of my exposures to 20+ mph wind gusts. Just shy of 2 hours total exposure with 22 five minute lights drizzle stacked withonly dark calibration frames. WO RedCat 250/51mm, L-Ultimate dual NB filter, ASI533 MC camera, ASIAIR Plus controller, SW AZ-EQ5 mount.

Processed in PixInsight, drizzle stacked then SPCC, RC-Astro Noise/Blur/StarXTerminator plugins, GHS, LHE, and PS final exp and crop. HOO palatte.
