New Year Crescent Moon with Earthshine

I prefer earthshine Moon images made with my day-lapse technique. It requires images from two days in a row and sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate. I wanted to capture the earthshine from the beautiful New Year Moon last night, so I used the a terminator blend layer to create this image. Compare it to a day-lapse image to see the difference.

Composite of two stacks, one exposed of the crescent and one for eartchine with the terminator blended in Photoshop. Questar 3.5" telescope (1350mm f14) with Sony a6300 camera at prime focus. Crescent exposed at ISO 400 for 1/25 sec. Best 14 of 54 images stacked and deconvolved in Lynkeos. Earthshine exposed ISO 1600 for 5 sec. 11 images stacked in Lynkeos. Composition of earshine, blended terminator, and crescent images in Photoshop.
