Glorious Sunspots

Sunspot groups AR2673 and AR2674 are putting on quite a show; visible by eye with protection. It seems the Sun wants us to know it can put on a show without the Moon's help.

Taken from Austin, Texas, on 2017-09-05 19:05 UT. Questar 1350/89mm f15 telescope with Sony a6300 at prime focus. Thousand Oaks NiCr solar filter with Baader IR/UV cut. Exposed 1/40 sec at ISO 100.
