Pacman Nebula

From Austin, Texas, on 2024-10-28 with 94 5' stacked exposures. WO RedCat 250/51mm, L-Ultimate dual NB filter, ASI533 MC camera, ASIAIR Plus controller, ZWO AM5N mount. Almost 8 hours of #NBOSC exposures on 2014-10-27 from Austin, Texas, rendered in a HOO palate.

The Pacman Nebula, Sh2-184, processed in PixInsight: drizzle stacked then SPCC, Auto DBE, RC-Astro Noise/Blur/StarXTerminator plugins, & stretch. Final exp and crop in PS

This was one of two first light images for my new ZWO AM5N. My first impressions are that it is easier to polar align tham my SW AZ-EQ5 Pro with not setting drift when cluteches are tightened. Best tracking seems about the same for both mounts but the AM5N seems to track at its best more of the time and recover faster from wind gusts. I'm blown away by how light the mount is.
