Dusty Mars nearing 2018 opposition

Mars with a hint of the south polar cap and features obscured by dust from Austin, Texas. Good seeing conditions early this morning in Austin gave me a chance to catch some of the dust obscured features on Mars. Size 24 arc sec and central longitude 14 degrees. Fair transparency, good seeing. Exposed 2018-07-23 07:00 UT with a Questar 1350/89 mm telescope, with a Brandon 2x Barlow lens and ZWO ASI120MC color camera for 30 msec with a gain of 36.

The best 99 of 2000 images stacked in Autostakkert3, deconvolved in Lynkeos, with final cropping and exposure adjustments in Photoshop.
