2022 the Solar System in one view

Add this to your calender! All the visible planets together in the sky at once is a spectacular sight. Late June 2022, we will have the five visible planets, the waxing crescent Moon, and with a telescope Uranus and Neptune together in the pre-dawn sky. Here is a Sky Safari simulation of the view:

Seeing all the planets spread out across the ecliptic makes it easy to visualize our place in the solar system. The last time I saw this I felt connected to the universe and very aware of my small place in it. I recommend putting this event on your calendar so that you don't miss this opportunity.
