Mars at 12.2 arc sec

Mars is now nearly half the size it was at apposition at 12.2 arc sec. Questar 1250/89mm telescope, 2X Brandon Barlow, #22 filter, and ZWO ASI ASI224 planetary video camera. Best 5% of 7500 images stacked in Autosatkket 3 and deconvolved in Lynkeos. Final exposure and crop in Photoshop.

I gave an image capture and processing demo for a star party. Organized by Bob Murphy the astronomy teacher at Westlake High School, the star party was under relatively dark skies as at West Ridge Middle School in far west Austin. Bob had several scopes going ranging from binoculars and an old Edmund Astroscan to a nice big goto Dobsonian. I set up to do a demo of planetary image capture and processing using Mars as a target.
