About eight miles west of Coleman is Hords Creek Lake an Army Corps of Engineers recreational area with clear sky views and camping. The lake is nice, campsites have electricity, and the facilities have running water. Nearby Coleman has a couple of places to eat. Thanks to John Tucker of the TAS for this tip. The park is located at 230 Friendship Park Rd, Coleman, TX 76834.
