The Marathon Motel & RV Park is a gem for the serious observer without his own dark sky observatory. Danny Self has created an oasis for astronomers and astrophototographers on the west side of Marathon. A cute vintage motel with meticulously kept grounds. The telescopes, pads, and careful attention to lighting are perfect.

Be sure to phone to make/check your reservations, I've never had success with the web site reservations, but it looks like they have updated it.
