Sky darkness(Bortle class 1 is best): 4

The area northeast of Manor between the community of New Sweden and Coupland has relatively dark skies close to Austin's east side. The area lacks public park space. In this dark lightly traveled area, with care and a friendly attitude, churches, cemeteries, parking lots and right of ways can provide observing opportunities. Scout ahead, ask permission, and be ready for impromptu outreach. New Sweden Church has hilltop views and parking at 12809 New Sweden Church Rd, Manor, TX 78653.
