The Big Bend region of Texas offers some of the darkest skies in North America. In addition to Big Bend National Park the towns of Terlingua, Marfa, Alpine, Marathon, and the Big Bend Ranch State Park offer a wide variety of accommodations and settings for astronomers. The National Park can be reached from US 90 via US 385 from Marathon and Texas 118 from Alpine.
